Feliz Navidad!

so, i should be reading for my last contracts class which is in about 2 hours, but i thought, “how about i not study and see what happens.” so i thought i’d give a shoutout to baby Jesus – because as everyone knows, I love Christmastime.  and for me it’s not really about the presents (and i’m not trying to sound holy by saying that, and it may not be because Koreans give hard cash on new years day, which makes Christmas presents less exciting). it really is the excitement and fun and joy and as alli would say ‘warm fuzzies’ that come with this season of celebrating the coming of the messiah, the remedy to all our problems, Jesus.

someone at my bible study last night pointed out sarcastically that advent is really just a count down to Christmas, to which i must rebut – what better day to count down to? (and please, don’t say the season premiere of Lost). and why NOT eat a chocolate for each day that brings us closer to Jesus’ birthday. which in turn begs the question, does God throw a birthday bash for Jesus in heaven every year? (just a thought).

So whether or not you’re studying for finals (or should be studying for finals like me) or working in the biz world or kid world in a home, remember, Jesus’ birthday is in 22 days – so turn up the Christmas jingles and decorate your tree, for God first and me second b/c apparently it’s against the law in pennsylvania for me to have a real tree in my apartment.

“Behold I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;

for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
